Great so far. The real test will be in a couple of weeks when we go on vacation.
I bought this router to use in our fifth wheel RV. So far I've only done some preliminary testing while the RV is parked on our property. It performed admirably, I used the Ookla speed test app and it had connected to a Verizon network which was a little surprising to me, this is T-Mobile country. The download speeds were very consistent >150 mbs and upload, which isn't a big concern of ours, was consistently >25 mbs. I did try using 2 different streaming boxes and my laptop at the same time and it supported all 3 devices quite well.
I was able to get my iPad and my tv in the rv connected. We will be traveling in a couple weeks, I’ll be able to see if it works then. 😀
Of our twenty-six days traveling with our travel trailer we found one remote location in Idaho that the JourneyGo did not connect and provide us with cellular service.
We were happy with JourneyGo for the most part.
We just purchased a Class C motorhome and I wanted a router that could easily travel with us. I had experience with different company's router that was virtual, however, not for traveling and not automatically adjusted. I would call tech support, they would change the virtual SIM and I'd get the strongest wifi for that area.
With my XTR Pro 5G Wi-Fi Router, I don't have that issue. While we were driving, I (as the passenger, of course) would run speedtests along the way. I was never disappointed! Besides the router, I also like the fact that when not traveling, I don't have to pay for the monthly data plan. Just cancel/pause and renew when needed! I'm very impressed!!
I was skeptical about reception and the internal antenna. It amazed me. We had full reception, mostly 5G and some 4G LTE. Superb coverage. No need to contact customer service. It was seamless coverage and no latency. Best investment yet.
So far, so good! We used our TravelFi for a week while camping and it worked great. When we returned home, we were informed that our internet service provider was doing major upgrades and we would be without internet so we switched to our TravelFi device and were connected in seconds. Very pleased with our purchase so far.
We just replaced our XTR LTE unit with the XTR PRO 5G and the upgrade is impressive. We annually stay in the same campground and same location. This area has fairly weak cell coverage due to the terrain. The XTR Lte unit was “ok”. The PRO 5G unit, with better antennas, has been great. I am sorta happy our XTR unit failed after quite a few years! Highly recommend the XTR PRO 5G.
I have only had the unit for a couple of weeks and my first observation is that it gives me the equivalent performance on 4G of my JourneyXTR 4G Router without all of the antennas. I haven't had a chance to see 5G performance since I am not in a area with 5G. It is a much simpler system to set up so I am happy so far.
So far so good working when traveling. Will see how it works out during race weekend
Since using travlfi for internet in my RV, I can't imagine using anything else. I have starlink but don't use it. I don't like price games.
The Journey XTR 4G router is super! It works very well for the 4 devices that I have connected to the router.
This router was a replacement for one that failed under warranty. I was pleased with how quickly the problem was identified and how quickly Travlfi returned a new one. Great job.
It works perfectly! 2 tvs and the kiddos vr. No lag just like streaming at home! Now we wait till the next adventure to see if pausing service for a few months does anything.
Work's great
Works wonderfully out here in the campground! We were so frustrated with the sketchy WiFi included in our lot rental. It went out every time the wind blew. Now we can watch an entire movie with no interruptions! We’re here until our new home is complete and this will definitely make it a more bearable stay!
Startup and connection was very easy. Speed was good. All in all, I'm very pleased with the unit and how it works
